New Mexico Light and Colorado Heights

This series of images was shot in 1993 on a trip to New Mexico and Southwest Colorado with another photographer friend. She sent me a note suggesting a trip to Sante Fe. At the time, I was living about ten miles from the marker for the beginning of the Santa Fe Trail in New Franklin, MO, so I responded with a photo post card of me in front of the marker saying, "Let's see where this trail goes".

A vintage view of several of the freshly snowcapped peaks in the Uncompahgre Wilderness Area in the San Juan mountains in Southwest Colorado. The largest peak in the middle is Uncompahgre. Then to it's left are Coxcomb, Matterhorn, and Wetterhorn peaks repectively. This view was captured from the Windy Point Observation Area at Slumgullion Pass near Lake City Colorado USA, 1993
